Some examples of recent work

BLOOD SWEPT LANDS AND SEAS OF RED

This was an interesting challenge, given the depth of frame required.and the weight of the ceramic poppy.

The poppy sits in a 60mm deep box, the sides of which are covered with a photo of a section of the wall of the tower to give the poppy a “sense of place”. A double mount of soft shades of grey ensures the presentation complements, rather than  competes with the piece.

The frame is coloured with a medium oak stain and finished with a natural wax polish for a soft lustrous sheen.

Pencil drawing by a local artist. Double mounted and framed in a simple matt black frame to complement the art.

Home Guard certificate and defence medal, framed in natural pine.

Spirit Combat certificates and medals displayed with 3rd Dan black belt in a deep rebate matt black frame with unique designed mount.

Section of autographed plastercast in an extra deep rebate white washed effect frame, finished with UV protection glass.

Papyrus float mounted onto complementary coloured mountboard and framed in antique gold effect polymer moulded frame with antique gold leaf glass spacer.

3 vintage photographs conservation mounted framed in walnut effect frames to complement the pieces.

Portrait and medal group & badge laid on black felt and framed in natural ash.

Record sleeve signed by the band, mounted on black felt, along with a copy of a newspaper cutting showing the actual signing. The finished frame was slim matt black moulding and used UV protection glass.
